The MHV3100-0058 is a JyeBao-manufactured MHV (Miniature High Voltage) crimp plug for RG58 and equivalent 50Ω cable. MHV is a bayonet-lock coaxial interface specified to MIL-STD-348B, visually similar to BNC but mechanically and electrically distinct — chosen where a compact coaxial connector must handle voltages well beyond the BNC working-voltage limit without stepping up to a full SHV.
MHV connectors look very similar to BNC and share the same bayonet-lock mechanism, but the internal geometry is deliberately different to prevent cross-mating. Do not attempt to mate MHV with BNC — the intermate can damage both parts and, in HV use, presents a genuine safety hazard. If you need higher than ~1,600 V rms working voltage, step up to SHV (3,500 V rms working).
Designed for cables with approximately 5 mm outer diameter: RG58 (the primary intended cable), JBY195 and JBY195-LSFH (JyeBao's 195-series low-loss variants, including low-smoke-fluorine-free halogen-free) and LMR195 (Times Microwave — industry-standard equivalent). Use the correct crimp die (INSERT-B) for the specific cable; strip lengths follow the JyeBao datasheet.
Terminates with the JyeBao CRT-1 or CRT-2 crimp tool fitted with INSERT-B die. A calibrated ratcheting crimp tool gives consistent dimensions and repeatable RF performance. See our Tools category for compatible crimp tooling.
