It follows the romantic trials of the unconventional and beloved character Lily Dale.

THE LAST CHRONICLE OF BARSET (1867)

The longest and most poignant book of the series. It resolves the fates of many recurring characters and centers on the suffering of Reverend Josiah Crawley, an impoverished curate unjustly accused of stealing a check.
