About the Machine

The 1993 Gilera CX125 is widely regarded as one of the most visually striking and technologically ambitious 125cc sport motorcycles ever produced. Manufactured by Gilera, a historic Italian marque owned by Piaggio, the CX125 was introduced in the early 1990s as a showcase of advanced styling and engineering.

Power came from a liquid-cooled 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine equipped with Gilera's electronic exhaust valve system, producing performance that made the lightweight machine extremely lively and competitive within European licensing classes.

The CX125 featured several unusual design elements including single-sided front and rear swingarms, fully enclosed wheels, aerodynamic bodywork, and futuristic styling unlike anything else on the road. While production numbers were limited, the model developed a cult following and remains one of the most collectible Italian 125cc motorcycles ever built.

Today, the CX125 is prized by collectors for its rarity, innovative design, and status as one of the most distinctive motorcycles of the 1990s.
