This submersible pump is made by the German leisure vehicle parts manufacturer Comet. It’s standard fitment on many campervan conversions. The narrow pump housing means it fits through the smallest of jerry can necks.

The Elegant pump is designed to be run on a 50% duty cycle. This means up to 15 minutes constant use followed by 15 minutes rest. They are tested to withstand 30 minutes dry running without motor burn out.

The high duty cycle makes them ideal for pumping shower water as well as the kitchen. You can couple these pumps to a micro switched tap (we sell these too) or just via a manual on/off switch. We would advise putting a 12V switch in line of the pump so you can isolate the power supply to it. It is also worth keeping a spare unit in your van.
