Step back in time with your favorite movie...except it's now here to keep you more organized or give you a place to write your thoughts.
I scour the area around my home to find the most beloved to the most off-the-wall VHS tapes out there. Then I repurpose them into 5x7 notebooks. I add cardstock to the back of the cover, cut them down to size, and then laminate the elderly cardboard covers to make them more durable for their next life.
For those not aware, VHS tapes (which were used before DVDs) were housed in these cardboard boxes, and so the more loved the movie, the more wear and tear these boxes have. That's why you may see some with more damage to the cover, or they may be discolored because they were housed in some smoking granny's den for over two decades before they came to me. I've also left as many of the nostalgic stickers on as possible; to remind everyone that once upon a time, we had to travel to the land of the movie store to rent these things.
I hand-cut the paper inside as well and try my hardest to give old things new life. As a result, you will often see a difference in color between pages, because I get my supplies from secondhand sources.
The notebooks contain 80 pages each (40 lined and 40 blank) to fill with whatever you would like. Why half and half? When I started this project, I committed to using as much as I could to prevent it from ending up in a landfill. So, I scour thrift stores and the marketplace to get the paper. I started with some that only had notebook paper, and some that only had blank paper in them. But the size difference threw my brain for a loop, and my desire to make the new product look as uniform and professional as my creative mind could handle came upon this solution.
I currently sell my notebooks in stores in Clarksville, TN, and here, so only about half of my stock is on eBay. I am also always gathering more movies for my next batch. If you don't see the movie title that you want, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. There is a good chance I already have it made, or it's on the list to be made soon, or I know where there is a copy of it and can get it quickly.
Thank you so much for your consideration of my creations, and please know I appreciate every one of you!
