Vintage Broadcast Microphone – Original Condition with Provenance
While preparing for a house move, I rediscovered this fascinating vintage microphone among a collection of radio-related items that had been stored away for many years.
I purchased it from a collector in the 1980s, primarily because of its unique character and historical appeal. My original intention was to display it as a decorative piece, but it ultimately remained carefully stored.
According to the previous owner, this microphone was once used in broadcasting by the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation many decades ago, adding an intriguing piece of broadcasting history to its story.
The microphone remains in original, untouched condition. I have never used, tested, modified, or disassembled it. Please note that the rubber insulation on the microphone cable shows signs of age-related deterioration, with some cracking and slight stickiness typical of vintage rubber components that have been stored for a long time.
There is also a small area of damage to the microphone's plastic grille/cover, where a small piece is missing. Please refer to the photographs for details.
An excellent opportunity for collectors of vintage audio equipment, broadcasting memorabilia, radio enthusiasts, or anyone looking for an authentic and unusual display piece with historical character.
