From my plumb bob collection: Here we have an Early Unusual Ornate Iron & Brass Plumb Bob Sphere w/ Nicks & Corrosion, 5.5" L. The center body which is 1-5/8" in diameter, has a slightly flatted section that has several
nicks.The turned iron top has an acorn
shape and some corrosion.When the bob
was made the threading was slightly off center, but when the top is added to
the body everything lines up. (see pics). There is a nicety flared and knurled ridge above the iron tip which has some mild corrosion. Bob is
5.5” L, 14 oz. Please review the pics to confirm condition !!
