Antique Gabonese Kora (bridge-harp) crafted from African hardwood and gourd soundbox covered with stretched hide. Measuring just under 20” in length, it features traditional cowrie shell decorations. Although re-strung with nylon, it dates from early 20th century, is structurally stable and in fine condition for its age.
Forming part of a private collection, it was brought to the UK from East Africa by a retiring colonial in the late 1970s.
Inland UK postage paid. Export postage at cost.
