Audi TT Quattro Mk1 Coupe 1800 BAM 225PS Manual RHD 2003 Glacier Blue, Black leather interior. 112335miles.

I have owned this car for over 10 years. Some time ago I decided not to trade it in for a newer one because I enjoyed driving it so much. To buy a newer car would cost several thousands of pounds more than maintaining this one, so I decided to renew any tired but legal parts when the car was serviced and MOTed. Consequently, in addition to a full service and MOT last October, I had the brakes and suspension overhauled. Total cost was £3100, see bill.

However… at the end of April I was driving home at night along an unlit country road when a fox decided to run across right in front of me, so close that I had no time to react before I hit it.

A professional assessment of the car’s damages identifies the full list of numbered parts that are required. They can be purchased for £3900 (through them, but they could be sourced much cheaper elsewhere), but this does not include the cost of spraying the bumper, or labour.

The list of new parts required, as identified by Quattro-Tech, Peterborough:- New front bumper, headlight washer and pipe. New oil cooler, pipes and fixings. New power steering cooler pipe and fixings. New radiator and a/c radiator and support. New intercooler ducts both sides. New under tray and fixings. New side cover that connects to the under tray.

Sadly, I do not have the space or time to do the repairs myself, but someone with basic mechanical skills and a donor car, or salvaged parts, could replace the damaged parts themselves. Due to subsequent oil and water leaks after the accident the engine must not be started until the repairs have been completed.

Cambelt, water pump and battery (Bosch 610A 5yr),  replaced at 104000 miles.
