I bought it because I wanted to listen to the coupled Fauret Requiem. Kazuo Yamada's command is stately and wonderful. The Tokyo Metropolitan Choir, which is sung by Miyako and a professional choir in a different name, also listens to the meticulous phrasing that responds to Yamada's careful music creation. There is a sense of stability in the whole, and in terms of the perfection of the performance, it does not outweigh the performance of the same work from major labels in Europe and the United States.
However, I don't feel the backing of Christian faith in this performance. It is
also difficult for Japanese people to play church works (especially such classic masterpieces).
