This is the first edition of The Keeper of the Bees by Gene Stratton-Porter from Hutchinson & co published in 1926 (UK Edition). The absolute true first edition of this book was published by Double day in 1925 US edition). Both are deemed to be valuable however I wanted to clarify this point in order to make sure any buyer is getting what they want.
Hutchinson did not put their publishing date or copyright mark anywhere on the book which is another way you can tell the difference.
This volume is notable for its exquisite color frontispiece and plates by Gordon Grant, as well as charming blue-ink botanical decorations by Lee Thayer.
