This is a beautiful, fully functional SONY MD deck, model MDS-JB940, complete with a SONY universal remote control, instruction manual, and other accessories. (ATRAC DSP TYPE-R/ATRAC3 MDLP compatible)

* I acquired this MD deck in excellent condition and performed the standard corner belt replacement, lens cleaning, and lubrication. The interior has also been cleaned.

* There is no crackling in the headphone volume, and recording and playback (both analog and digital) are flawless, producing clear, high-quality sound.

* The power cord is from 2000, suggesting this is a high-quality product from the end of MD deck production. It is an MDLP compatible model.

* The front of the unit is scratch-free, and the display is bright and clean. The small scratches shown in image 7 have been completely removed by dirt.

* The unit cover has been cleaned of small scratches and dirt, then primed and painted in a similar gold color.

* Accessories include a SONY universal remote control (with battery/no battery leakage in the storage compartment), a copy of the instruction manual, and one RCA pin cord for connection testing. Please note that you will need to handle any upgrades or replacements of the connection cable yourself.

• Includes one MD recorded from a CD for recording and playback testing (with a sample CD containing a test recording), and one blank MD.
