'Beta Noir'. Ferry first came to fame with RM making the occasional solo album, taking his solo career more

seriously in the mid-80s after their breakup. He has pursued a sophisticated/sleek form of Art Rock ever since, 

scoring the occasional hit ('Slave To Love', 'Kiss & Tell'), and albums of very cool re-thinks of familiar songs.

this is his second album after the breakup, following the classic 'Boys & Girls', and it recruits Patrick Leonard

(Madonna collab) for production duties and has Johnny Marr & David Gilmour as special guests. one of his

best albums, and a good buy for Art Rock AND Pop fans. Reprise 9 25598-2 w/4pp booklet. allmusic.com rates
