The first two EBB albums are quite psychedelic and avant-garde, but this is a very pleasant and varied rock album with blues rock, hard rock, heavy psych, soul and folk. Its a nonstop ride of catchy tunes! The lyrics are bizarre in a way it adds to the music, though without reading them you might not even notice their weirdness. The recording quality is very good. The vocals of Edgar Broughton have grown over the years and on this record his limitations are fully compensated by his enthusiasm and muscial fantasy. Perhaps the second side is a bit stronger. A favorite of mine!
