Grateful Dead Fans !!! ... & most-definitely ' Virginia-Dead ' Fans !! - for sure.  As offered here is the Vintage-Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the April 3rd, 1982 ( 4/3/1982 ) Show at The Scope ! in Norfolk, Virginia ( VA ) !!  And ... this G.D. Backstage Pass features the Quintessential ! G.D. " Dead Set " Art based design - delivered so-awesomely by Dennis Larkins & Peter Barsotti in 1980 - used in one form or another on Posters, etc. for the Dead Set Cover - Warfield Poster - Radio City Music Hall Poster - Handbills, Tour Shirts - you name it.  And, as the photos well show - it's just That-Cool !!  Uncle Sam relaxing with his thoughts - looking on the Golden Gate Bridge ! - and Ms. Uncle Sam doing just the same thing - but her view ... New York City ! and the Hudson !  A Fantastic ! '82 G.D. Pass here - to say the very least.  And too ... on a Rare ( & Cool ! ) " Green " border - as the Colors used for each Show Pass varied quite a bit on this '82 Spring Tour !  And too ... making this Pass even Cooler ! - it was indeed the Only-Time-Ever ! that The Grateful Dead played " The Scope ! " in Norfolk, VA !!  And Musically ?!!  Whoa !!  As being a ' New ' Venue for the Boys to play - which they had never-played before ... they most certainly fell into a fine zone of comfort - and delivered Huge !!  Alabama > Greatest Story kick-started this " Dead-Night at The Scope ! " in fine fashion ... and with high-energy right from the get go !  The Peggy-O > C.C. Rider - Bird Song ! is a most-certain " To The Dead Fans Delight ! " section of this Show - showing just how fluid the Band was playing - in All ! gears.  Althea > Let It Grow closed Set I - with the Let It Grow being one of those " beyond-whirlwind " versions - so-well worth a listen, if you have yet to hear it.  Pretty-Killer ! ... for sure.  And as for Set II ?  Really ... just one big batch of FUN !!!  Firstly, it was the Scarlet > Fire !!! Night ! - which, may I add was the first Scarlet > Fire of this run - and the 1st too since the Warfield in February !  And, noteworthy fully ... as they just Nailed ! this one - all throughout ... the true third, or fourth playing moment in this special Show - where you could tell Jerry was full-on " all systems go " !!  Estimated > Eyes ! > Good Times - to follow - with the ' Eyes ' really being something special ... in just the way Jerry approached it - really in like a trying to become an even better player style - right before the loyal Dead Fans ' Eyes ' !  Ha !  No, but seriously ... if you haven't heard this one - you need too - as it's not just special on an " '82 " scale - but it's truly " up-there ".  The one that really came to my own mind in comparison - as direct as possible from a " playing " standpoint was the 11/11/85 version at the Meadowlands ! - where Garcia just rips-it !! ... in such a unique & different ' Attack ' like fashion.  Wow !!  And then ... after Drums > Space is arguably " Super-Highlight " # 2 of this Scope Show ... as this-version of N.F.A. is just a flat-out Cooker ! & Smoker !!  They are simply Catching-Fire ! here - collectively ... and aren't even considering wasting the opportunity at hand.  It's tough to even gauge if the jam - vocal rap - or jam-outro is the best ?!?  Which, makes for just about a perfect version - at least to my humble Dead Fan ears.  A Beautiful ! Stella to follow ... One More Saturday Night to Rock ! the house ... and then a Good Ol' U.S. Blues !! for the Encore.  As Wow ... I mean maybe it's good after all that this was the 1st - Last & Only ! Dead Show at " The Scope !!? ".  Because frankly ... this would be a tough Grateful Dead act to follow ! - even for the Good Ol' '80's Grateful Dead themselves.  A G.D. Backstage Pass ! ... that really - means so incredibly much - in the currency of Rock & Roll !!! ... Enjoy !!!!!
