Why Use Edge Insulation?
Edge insulation is placed around the room perimeter before screed or levelling compound is installed. It helps form a separation between the floor and fixed walls, allowing the floor build-up to move as it heats and cools.
This helps protect the finished floor from stresses caused by thermal expansion, while also reducing unwanted heat loss at the edges of the installation.
Designed For Retrofit UFH Projects
This 100mm retro edge insulation is ideal for existing floor underfloor heating projects where a smaller, more cost effective perimeter edge strip is required.
The larger 150mm edge insulation is generally used where new build or Building Regulation compliance is required. This 100mm version is designed as a practical retrofit solution and is not intended as a new build Building Regulations edge insulation product.
