Vintage Large Horrocks Ibbotson H-I Wood Fishing Line Winder. This is a really nice piece, quite large in size measuring 24" long by 7-3/4" wide. Piece does have some surface/age wear as you can see from the photos. Really nice vibrant HI graphic and advertising on it. Wood is in good condition on this piece. Excellent piece to display with your vintage fishing items or to use.
The Craig Junior Rewind reel turns smooth but could be dissembled and new grease added. The measurement gauge moves smooth when the large wheel spins, I do not know how accurate it is other than it appears to work. The base is a dark wood and from the color and grain it looks like walnut, judge for yourself. The back has natural imperfections as pictured and the middle of the three boards is a little thinner on the bulk string end from the manufacturing process, as pictured.
Overall great piece to use or display.
