This 1936 Avon Christmas Gift Guide is loaded with gift suggestions for the Holiday Season. Book or pamphlet unfolds to reveal large colorful pages depicting Avon's numerous gift sets. When fully opened the booklet measures 18 x 32 inches. While there is no date printed on the brochure there is a post it note on the catalog dated 1936. This item was taken from a collection of a former Avon representative who had meticulously filed everything in chronological order. This includes more of the Christmas catalogs as well as other brochures and Avon Outlook campaigns from the 30's to the early 70's. I have no reason to doubt that this brochure was from 1936. It has, however been brought to my attention that these could be earlier as prices do not mention the excise tax that would have been placed on these items at that time. Please enlarge the pictures to see the details and condition of the guide. For its age, I would rate it in good condition but it does show signs of wear and aging with some noticeable gaps at the fold lines and two of the corners are damaged. (Please see pics) I would think if one wanted the ads would be suitable for framing. Might make a nice addition to your Vintage/Antique Avon Collections. Make it yours!
