A decorative antique Regency style silver on copper mustard pot & spoon, with repousse acanthus and shell border, lion masque & paw feet, and hinged cover with beaded ball finial.

This pot and spoon are by the noted Sheffield makers of quality silver-plated wares, Mappin & Webb.  The pot dates from the first half of the 20th century.  It should be noted that there is a dent in the bottom of the inside of the pot, which is visible in the photo details.  However, this does not affect the working or closure of the hinged cover, and is not visible when observed from the exterior unless the pot is turned upside down.  There is no glass liner, though the construction suggests that there probably never was one.  The spoon is also by Mappin and Webb.
