Surely one of the greatest fast Fords of all time, the Escort RS Turbo is quickly rising the ranks to become one of the most collectible hot hatches of its era. Coming from long ownership, this very late second generation variant, with low miles on the clock could be seen as a great way into the fast Ford scene for someone with a bit of know-how or passion, with the end result being a thoroughly standout RS Turbo.
Cosmetically this particular example seems solid and fundamentally well. The paintwork looks to be in largely good order with just a small patch of bubbling making itself known around the front and rear windscreens along with the to be expected signs of general age related wear and tear. Inside is quite the place to be and boasts a selection of period modifications including an aftermarket steering wheel, auxiliary gauge set and carbon fibre effect trim fascias.
Mechanically the car is being sold as needing a going over following long term storage. We have had it running and driving for a short test drive and it performed OK, however the fuel currently in the car is on the older staler side meaning the running could be improved upon. The previous owner informs us that the car was subject to an engine, gearbox and turbo rebuild circa 2005 and the car has covered minimal mileage since, it has also been converted to run brake discs on the rear and fitted with an upgraded intercooler.

Terms and conditions
All our vehicles are available for viewing and examination before
purchase.
A distance buyer is requested to pay a £500 non-refundable holding
deposit via PayPal or Bank Transfer.
Due to the very nature of older vehicles and their vulnerability to
long-term storage, all our vehicles are sold as unroadworthy and should
not be driven on the public highway until fixed and made roadworthy
(whether showing a current MOT certificate or not).
By agreeing to purchase a vehicle from us, you accept and understand
that using this vehicle on the roads in GB would be unlawful in its
present condition, and that it will not be used on the roads in GB until
it has been put into a lawful condition.
For the reasons mentioned above, all vehicles bought from us must be
trailered away. We can assist all buyers with this request via a very
well-trusted third-party company we use regularly.
All vehicles remain the property of Classic Cars and Campers Ltd until
paid for in full.
Returns Policy
All vehicles bought from us from a distance will qualify for a 14-day
cancellation policy. From the total reimbursement amount, the £500
non-refundable holding deposit will be deducted (to cover our reasonably
incurred costs and losses) and a reasonable figure for any diminished
value. The buyer is responsible for the return cost and all damage
whilst in their possession.
If the sale is concluded on our premises, then the 14-day cancellation
policy does not apply.
