P/N MBEU 51973 LEG RESTRAINT FOR MARTIN BAKER MK6 & MK10 & MK7 EJECTION SEAT

The leg restraint system MBEU 51973 is a critical safety component for MARTIN BAKER MK6 & MK10 & MK7 EJECTION SEATS .

The Mk.6 Ejection Seat was famously used in aircraft like the Blackburn Buccaneer, Dassault Mirage III & 5 & F1 , and early F-4 Phantoms.

•    Prevent Flailing: During high-speed ejection, aerodynamic forces can cause a pilot's legs to whip outward, leading to severe fractures or hip dislocations.

•    Automatic Retraction: As the seat moves up the rails, these lines (often called "garters") are pulled taut by a snubbing mechanism, drawing the pilot's legs back against the seat pan.

•    These are the new style and look like they are made from Gold cotton webbing. A nice collector’s item left over from the Mirage and F-4 Phantom A/C in the Israeli air force .
