Manufactured from thick 8mm steel, these are far stronger than the lightweight alternatives commonly found online. Once screwed into a wooden fence post, the conducting line sits approximately 13 inches away from the post, making them ideal for stallion fencing, horse paddocks, boundary protection or increasing the height and offset of an existing fence.
One of the biggest advantages of these insulators is the construction of the pigtail end itself. Rather than having a separate loop welded or attached onto the shaft, the pigtail is formed as a continuation of the main steel rod and covered with a thick insulated sleeve. This creates an incredibly robust insulator with far less chance of snapping or failing over time.
We advise drilling a pilot hole in the fencepost as the shaft is 8mm thick.

These are particularly popular with horse owners wanting extra security around paddocks and gateways, especially where animals may lean or push against fencing.
We also sell snap-on insulators for the shaft of these posts which allow you to add additional powered fence lines if required, although these are not included with this listing.
