The cheapest package is £6; the cheapest Pay as you go (prepaid) credit recharge is £10. The SIM will only work after this is done! You will receive the £5 free credit when you top up or buy a package. During certain periods, giffgaff boosts the bonus to £10 or £15. Outside these periods, the bonus is £5. You can recharge the SIM using a bank card (minimum £6) or a top-up voucher code (minimum £10). Top up vouchers can be purchased directly from PayPal. If you sign up for a monthly package, you can turn off recurring payments so that you do not have to pay every month. After activating, the SIM must be used once every 6 months to keep it active - this means either: topping up; sending an SMS message; making a phone call; using mobile data. Giffgaff does not support Wifi texting and calling at present.
