This Hymnal comes from the estate of Burton Karson and has his name on the first end page. Karson died at age 90 early in 2025. He was a pianist and harpsichordist, Professor of Music for over 30 years at Cal State Fullerton, helped start and was the long time artistic director of the Baroque Music Festival, Corona del Mar and was a creative force in Orange County and a lively lecturer both in and out of the classroom. During his later years Karson played the organ in a number of churches.
