This is a vintage History Channel Club wooden box game set including Civil War themed chess, backgammon, and checkers. All included pieces can be found in the pictures above.
The box set is pre-owned but in overall great condition with details as follows:
- There is a bit of cosmetic wear on the exterior of the box but no significant or obvious damage.
- Three of the chess pieces are replacement pieces which may vary in color/tone compared to the originals. The original (broken) pieces will also be included as an extra for parts.
- Of the three replacement pieces, one is a horse that unfortunately broke as well but was glued back together. It is included in the holding tray with all playable pieces, but there is also a second replacement horse piece in the exact same shape as the one in the holding tray. Both are playable despite their condition and the extra one will be included with everything else.
- The interior of the box underneath the holding tray for chess pieces appears to have kind of hardened residue in it. I was not the original owner of this game set and received it in this condition, so I'm not exactly sure what the residue is, but it may have possibly been from some kind of glue.
- All other pieces (checkers, dice, dominos, etc) found inside the box drawer appear to have never been opened from the original packaging, thus are in excellent, new condition

All items are carefully packaged to ensure safety and preserve quality during shipping. I do recycle boxes and packaging, but I make sure both boxes and packaging are appropriate for the item during transport.
This game set will be sent in a box with extra packing material such as bubble wrap and/or packing paper to ensure all pieces arrive safely and as described. Chess pieces are extremely delicate and will be packaged with as much protection as possible.
I also provide a variety of shipping options for buyers, but usually list the cheapest first. Feel free to select the shipping method that is best for you.
Please note, I ship all items out in a timely manner (within about 1-2 days) but there may be instances of delays that are out of my control after I have handed the package over to the post office. Please contact USPS/UPS/Fedex for more information in those cases.

INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING & SHIPPING
All shipping prices, domestic and international, are based on box size and weight intended for domestic shipping. I package all items as securely as possible in an effort to prevent damage during shipping, but if you would like to request extra packaging for international shipments please let me know before purchase. Extra packing materials may require an adjustment in size and/or weight of the package, so shipping prices will also be reflected accordingly.
Additionally, customs fees and tariffs may apply to packages that are being shipped to countries outside the United States. In accordance with ebay rules and regulations, buyers are responsible for covering any import duties or fees imposed by their country. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact your local Customs and Border Protection Information Center.
FRAUD PREVENTION MEASURES
I personally inspect, record, list, pack, and ship all items on my own to ensure the item in the listing is the exact item you receive. If any changes or concerns about the item are detected after purchase I will contact the buyer for further course of action. Furthermore, everything is security marked and all identifiable features, including serial codes when applicable, are recorded with pictures and/or video at the time of listing and will be once again when packaged and shipped. Weight and measurements are taken and confirmed with the postal service at drop off, so any changes thereafter could imply tampering which is considered a federal crime. In the event of a return, all items are thoroughly inspected and security marks/serial codes are cross examined with the records I have on file before a refund is issued.
Claims and returns that suggest incongruence with the item sent and/or any other kind of fraudulence will result in further investigation. Postal inspectors, when necessary, will be contacted along with your local police department who are likely to reach out to you in order to help them in their case report. This is done in an effort to promote fair and transparent transactions for all parties involved.
