1961 Austin Mini Rally Car. Full rally car with roll cage. Running and Driving but being sold as a project. 1275 A Series engine. Has Brantz International 2 pro meter fitted with remote and twin displays. Cobra bucket seats with harnesses and co driver aluminium foot rest. Still has headlining and rear seats fitted allowing entry to certain classes. Coolant temp and oil pressure gauges. Dropped steering column with leather steering wheel. Rear brakes have been rebuilt with shoes and cylinders also has Mini Fin drums. Front brakes are discs with green stuff brake pads. Hi lows all round. New battery. New Fletcher Aluminium radiator with silicone hose kit and high flow water pump. New clutch slave cylinder. New Power Spark electronic ignition and Viper ignition coil. New spark plugs and engine oil and filter. The previous owner also told me it has a kent cam 276 and the cylinder head is from a Cooper S, although I have no way of confirming this. It does have a tendency to jump out of 3rd gear and seems a little smokey on hard acceleration which has been factored into the price, could benefit from gearbox rebuild and a tune up on the engine. With it being a rally car we expect the new owner to want to mould the vehicle to their own preference. This mini has been reshelled in to a later shell at some stage in its life. Great fun to drive and always gets a lot of attention. Tax and MOT Exempt.
