This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible has much to recommend it, from its matching-numbers L71 tri-power 427/435 HP V-8 power plant , to a rare color scheme that sets it apart from most others of this vintage. Originally slated for replacement in 1967 by a completely redesigned third-generation Corvette, the fifth edition of the second-generation Sting Ray has come to be seen by many as the most fully realized of the midyear models; more than 59 years later, it's still considered one of the best ever. The 1967 Sting Ray's exterior revisions included removing all identification from the front fenders, which were further cleaned up with new smaller vents that tilted toward the front. Vehicle Description

The only bright badges left were a lone "Corvette Sting Ray" script on the rear deck, the fuel door cover and a smaller crossed-flag emblem on the nose. New rocker trim along the lower edges was mostly blacked out, leaving a thin chrome spear, and a new vented three-piece Rally wheel debuted as standard equipment. Development of the Mark IV big-block V-8 continued as Zora Arkus-Duntov's engine performance team released a new version, the L71 tri-power engine incorporating triple Holley 2-barrel carburetors with sophisticated progressive linkage and rated at 435 HP, adding more fuel to the big-block Corvette's reputation as the baddest machine on the road. This 1967 convertible's matching-numbers L71 427/435 HP engine, had era correct aluminum heads added in the 70's. This powerhouse is mated to its original numbers matching Muncie 4-speed backed by a 3.70 Positraction rear end. This once in a lifetime opportunity to own this all original, gorgeous preserved car, its Jet Black paint and contrasting Red Stinger combine with a black soft top and the Highly optioned Red interior to striking effect. Redline tires on Rally wheels and factory side exhausts are practically necessities on any big-block midyear Corvette. Also equipped with transistorized ignition, a Soft Ray-tinted windshield, radio, and center console clock and power windows this handsome tri-power Corvette is ready to roll and drives incredible. This top flight car just won best in class at the "2026 Salt Lake World of Wheels AutoRama". This all original numbers matching car has minimum blemishes in the original paint and the original interior. we have recently gone through the car for its annual checkup where we rebuilt and fine-tuned the tri-power to run at peak performance. We have had this car in our collection for the last ten years and are ready for it to find it a new home.
