A wonderful antique Victorian sterling silver vesta case hallmarked in London for 1873 by Thomas Johnson I.  This silver vesta case is rectangular in shape with a lovely patterned feature on one side depicting flowers and leaves whilst remaining mainly plain on the other side with a patterned edging.  There is a button on the side of this vesta case designed to open the lid when pressed and the striking mechanism is at the base.  This vesta would make a desirable addition to a collection and remains in  excellent condition.
