MINI Wallbox Generation 3
DThe Wallbox is a home charging station for all Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). This means every customer can charge their vehicle safely, quickly and independently at home. In addition to its space-saving, compact dimensions in BMW or MINI design, the wallbox also offers convenient cable management including a plug and wall mount.
- Safe and fast charging: Compared to the OUC basic cable supplied with the vehicle, the wallbox achieves a significantly shorter charging time. (See also Notes.)
- Easy to use and convenient cable management: The cable can be hung on the cable holder, and there is also a plug holder.
- Design and function: The wallbox is space-saving and compact in size and made from robust, weatherproof materials for indoor and outdoor use.
- Cost-effective installation: DC error detection is already integrated into the wallbox and thus contributes to significant savings in installation costs.
- Plug & Play: If the plug is plugged into the vehicle, the charging process starts automatically without any further operating steps being necessary.
- The wallbox can be connected flexibly and easily to the home network.
- The wallbox supports the specific time-controlled charging function. This makes it possible to charge vehicles only at certain times, e.g. B. to take advantage of particularly cheap electricity tariffs.
- Pre-air conditioning of the vehicle: The temperature in the vehicle can be preset. In the morning, the customer finds his vehicle charged and already preheated or cooled. The energy required for this is provided via the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and is therefore saved while driving - to maximize the range.
- The status display of the wallbox is shown by an LED bar on the front of the wallbox. Thanks to this display on the wallbox, the customer can always see the current charging status, even from a greater distance.
- With the Wallbox Service app, the wallbox can be kept up to date, a variety of settings can be changed and the current device status can be accessed at any time. There is also information and tips for troubleshooting

The cabling from the house installation to the wallbox as well as the protection is specific for each market and connection case and is determined by the specialist on site. To ensure that the wallbox functions safely and reliably, it must be installed and connected by a qualified electrician. Depending on the country, corresponding country-specific regulations must be observed and adhered to when connecting.
