This quality tomo nagura comes from the Nakayama mine and is quite hard and fine. It is used for creating a final finishing slurry on a base stone. Alternatively this one is large enough to be used as a hand held stone for small knives or straight razors. Except for the rubbing surface the stone has been clear lacquer sealed.
