Vintage RAF Mess Dress Officer's Jacket 1950s Flight Lieutenant Gieves London Size Medium, 38

Great shape for it’s age, no smells stains or obvious imperfections.

“Mess dress" jacket, which is the military equivalent of a tuxedo, worn for formal evening events.

The gold stripes on the cuffs indicate the Flight Lieutenant officer's rank in the RAF. Navy blue wool with a full satin or silk lining and features brass buttons with the British crown above a flying eagle.
