Padmini’s small dhoop sticks are one of their best-known and most widely used products. Unlike stick incense, dhoop contains no bamboo core: the fragrant materials, binders and wood powders are mixed into a masala and shaped directly into short sticks. This dry dhoop style represents an older Indian incense tradition, predating the Mysore-style bamboo-stick incense that later became dominant.

The fragrance is built on a creamy sandalwood base, with light, sweet floral notes that lean more towards rose than jasmine. Beneath this sits a deeper, oilier layer of woody musk, giving the scent a slightly rougher, earthier edge. Compared with similar small dhoops such as Panchavati, these feel stronger and less polished — more direct, more grounded, and a little raw.
