Vintage WWII Trench/Boot Dagger German Stag Antler Fighting Knife

Vintage antique piece, with custom leather Sheath. Measures approx 11 5/8" OAL. The carbon steel forged blade is about 6 1/2", with acute tip, and medium line, sharpened on one side only.

It wears a "S" shape iron guard and silver ferrule, along with an iron pommel cap where the full rat tail tang is peened. The handle is an absolutely handsome single piece of genuine stag, Guard is slightly loose. Very sharp, with obvious patina along the blade.

Could be a boot knife. This is the sort of knife, that was reworked, and often carried during WW1. Also of a style is sometimes called a prostitute's Knife.
