What you will receive, is an 8" by 8" clump, at least, of Forget Me Not plants. They will be intermingled and very dense. They can be pulled apart to make a less crowded row or planted the way they are to make a good anchor of them.
Very easy to grow, they are a groundcover, perennial, soft blue. They do make seeds and will self-seed, but success with those seeds when you plant them, this is still a mystery to me.
Not as hardy as violets, but the height of them. In spring there is plenty to pick with the violets out there.
I got the original plants from a truly kind lady, they had a 'cabin' over in Racoon Creek Park, they loved it there, were there every weekend, lived in the city of Pittsburgh.
She had them growing on both sides of a stream, or creek, as we call it here. It was enchanting to see. This was more than 25 years ago, and I don't have a stream, but these pleasant friends will grow where it is damp and they will grow along the driveway, too, where it is not damp, but grueling, actually.
They have a first flush of bloom for a long time about May. They then have a sparser bloom again later in the summer, and that's when the seeds can be collected if that's what you want. Me? I cut the stem off and pitch them wherever there is a bare spot.
There is now so much of this friend growing here, and I don't mind one bit of it. It can be shared with grass, even, it's short.
Put it in container gardens, this will take to wherever you please.
Some are in such nice clumps that they make perfect things of themselves to be shared. I will send as much as I can for the weight, that's the thing in live plants.
You must water well when first planting, but after that, really, no care at all is needed.
Child and animal friendly as well as for adults who have a child in them.
