A rare Seiko transitional period 1970 POUGE in good condition. This a very interesting /collectible  iconic watch from 1970. During that year Seiko made some modest changes to the dial  and case back. During  the early part of the year  the dial showed PROOF indicating (water proof)  which was changed in approx july/august to RESIST  indicating (water  resistance) this lasted until the end of 1970 before it became the 6139-6002.

Another interesting fact relating to the 6139 movement is that  over its lifetime this chronograph movement is known to suffer from excessive barrel bushing wear. Now the only way to carry out a 100% perfect service (so that the movement can carry on for another decade or so) is to fit specially made top and bottom JEWELS to the front plate and barrel bridge . This transforms the movement into a 19 jewelled movement and eliminates the plate wear issue. When buying the Seiko Pouge 6139 movement  always make sure that this work has been carried  out because if not ,it is always going to cause issues in the future.
