Setting Paneing Hammers are drop forged high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and tempered heads. They are available in head weights of 12 ounces and 1 pound, with burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), “Second Growth” Hickory wooden handles. These are special purpose hammers designed for forming sharp corners, closing and peening seams and lock edges on sheet metal, and for use by glaziers for inserting glazier points for holding glass panes into window frames.
