This piece was handmade, likely Kashmir Afghan region, vintage tribal-jewelry.  It is a traditional tribal wedding necklace.
Shows a warm-age patina with mild wear-patterns. Please note that patina reflects the light when photographed, so items may look brighter in images than they really are.

It is sturdily made, and metal does not bend.

Item included:
  • 1 long Kashmiri necklace with gorgeous old pendants, beads and metal cone-ends. The 5 shield like pendants were incised with traditional designs and studded with colorful turquoise colored beads.  The five shield like pendants have heart shaped charm dangles which hang freely below. A few of the dangles have wear-patterns and one of the shields has a missing set of dangles. The 22 1/2-inch wool red fabric cording is more recent, and highly wound and sturdy.
Great for festivals, belly dance, theater costumes, stage productions, and making a dramatic statement.

General info about genuine old/vintage tribal-jewelry to know before purchase here or elsewhere: Because of their age and distinguished history, old tribal and vintage pieces may have some of their dangles/charms/beads missing, replaced, damaged, or refurbished, along with other flaws, defects, and/or debris. Sharp and/or irregular edges are also possible. Because they were handmade, they are seldom symmetrical.  It not possible to know the exact metal-content of these old pieces that were made by local artisans in different locations among mostly nomadic peoples.
