"Ready-Made" Fir Trees

Nowadays I try to put root system details on most trees, but not yet always possible to do so on all trees, so you may receive a mix.

These Standard Series trees feature a real wooden trunk (not plastic or resin), crafted from Port Orford Cedar right here in Oregon, USA, and have realistic taper to a fine point, bark detail honed in, and a nontoxic dye. The green branches you see in the pictures are also made right here, from a combination of woody materials, held together with white glue and matte medium.  Other layers of detail are added including a highlight effect to the branches, as well as just a bit of a rusty color that hints toward a little bit of dead-needle effect. As it turns out, these model trees are in fact  made from 95% wood, just like a tree should be. For convenience, each tree already has a pin in the base for standing the tree upright.  

Packaging: Trees come packaged in a plain corrugated box with many small strips of kraft paper all around them. It's a little bit of a mess, but I am proud that the method of packaging has resulted in 15+ years of shipping trees with very few instances of physical damage incurred.   

I enjoy making great looking trees for your layout. I believe these are some of the highest quality, handmade trees available.
