This guitar is characterized by its long sustain thanks to the through-neck construction and the wide range of sound variations provided by the coil tap, a Yamaha-exclusive term.
While it has the same body material configuration as a Les Paul (maple top, mahogany back), it shows the high level of craftsmanship that Yamaha put into creating something unique, distinct from both Gibson and Fender.
The original humbuckers, mounted using Yamaha's unique three-point suspension system, output a very thick sound.
The rich sustain provided by the through-neck construction and sustain block under the bridge is also a major feature.
Basic maintenance and cleaning have been completed, so it is in a condition ready to play immediately!
