1986 Sand Knit NFL Game Used Worn Jersey Buffalo Bills Leonard Burton Sz. XL. A great piece of sports memorabilia!
This authentic Sand Knot jersey was worn by Buffalo Bills Center Leonard Burton during his rookie season in 1986. Burton missed just six starts across four seasons as the Bills center from 1986 through 1989.
This authentic game jersey features several quirky traits seen in 1980’s Buffalo Bills jerseys. The torso features a very light porthole mesh material, which required stitched numbers to be used for the front & back. However, the sleeves feature screenprinted numbers & team stripes, which they can hold due to their smaller patterns of mesh holes. The Sand Knit manufacturer tags are both installed on the inside collar. The jersey exhibits excellent evidence of game use, including several embroidered repairs & hit marks. The original nameplate has been removed, but the dimensions & stitching pattern of the nameplate are still visible.
This is a great almost-forty-year-old authentic game-used piece!
