Please be aware that vintage butane lighters use O-rings to keep the gas from leaking out. Depending on how the lighter was stored or cared for, these O-rings (seals) may become brittle over time & need replaced.
Further evaluation/repairs of your lighter may be needed before it can be put into daily use.
