You are bidding on a 1852 Round Liberty Head 1/2 dollar size token. The front of the token has a Liberty head facing to the left with 13 five-pointed stars around her and the date "1852" at the bottom (Stars 2,4,8,9,12, and 13 are double punched). On the back of the token, at the top, is written "CALIFORNIA GOLD", in the center is written "1/2", and at the bottom is a bear with a wreath of flowers on both sides. This collectable souvenir token was likely produced for sale in the1970's.
Notes:
This reverse bear die (ca.1950's) is found with other different obverse: 1853 and 1851 Indian head dies(ca.1950's).
