I have connected this to a Roku TV and it works; got the time programmed and everything. Was not able to test the recording function because I didn't have a blank tape. Had some issues getting the "smart" TV to keep a stationary image and not keep switching aspect ratios, but I suspect that might be due to using the A/V input instead of an HDMI adapter. Sound quality was remarkably good, image was pretty decent and probably gets better with some cleaning / tracking adjustment. The remote worked all around. The unit is a little dusty as is the remote, but overall in very good condition and a solid working VCR. The box is torn in a few places and I'm mostly including that for packing security and the entertainment value. Will be shipped well-padded in an exterior box, of course.
