color:black">From my own collection of personally enjoyed Matchbox cars, I'm offering this Mercedes 230 SL die cast toy vehicle for sale. I was playing with this and other stuff like it in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Like every other kid of the time, I had tons of car/truck/construction equipment/etc. toys. Some were outside toys exposed to all the joys and horrors of sandbox use. Others stayed in the house and were well cared for. This scale model vehicle is one of those well-cared for toys. This auction is for a Matchbox Mercedes 230 SL Nº 27. This 1:60 scale vehicle was produced between 1966-69. The Lesney model of the luxurious convertible version of the Mercedes 230 SL was painted in just the one color scheme which was off white to light cream. It had a red plastic interior incorporating the steering wheel and tow hook in the molding and it was fitted with a clear plastic windscreen.
This item does show some wear of play and time. The white body paint is in okay condition showing no appreciable wear or damage but some minor chipping. The clear plastic windscreen is completely broken and missing. No original box or documentation is included in this sale. 13.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">
