Beautiful 1940s Day Dress in cream (I'm fairly certain the fabric is rayon) with delicate colorful embroidery on cap sleeves and waist.

I purchased this 40+ years ago in Los Angeles, have always loved it, but rarely have worn it.  

It's in surprisingly good shape considering it's 80 years old; I've documented the relatively minor flaws in the photos, but again, wearable (feels heavenly!) or add it to your treasured vintage collection - 

dress measures:

Armpit to armpit: 19.75"

Top of shoulder to hem: 52"

Falls at the lower shin, functional back and side zippers ensure good fit.  Snugly fits a modern size 10-12 with room to move - sensational movement, gathered banded waist, handmade.

I've kept it hidden away for years, which is a crime, as it deserves to be seen...
