BRAZILIAN RAIN TREE
Up for auction from Wigert’s Bonsai Nursery in Florida.

MEASUREMENTS:
This tree is 16 3/4" tall from soil.
Nebari is 5/8". 1st branch from soil is 5/8".
 It is planted in a 6" plastic pot.

CARE:
BRAZILIAN RAIN TREE is a very popular bonsai species that is great for African-style flat top bonsai, as well as many other styles. Gorgeous vibrant compound foliage that closes up at night and when it rains. Trunk flutes as it matures, and has a naturally exfoliating bark. Very hardy, fast growing tree. Raintree is a tropical plant that should be kept away from freezing temperatures. Tree likes full/ partial sun and moderate water and fertilizer.

DO NOT repot your tree as soon as it arrives in the mail.
We recommend that you wait to repot your tree after it has recovered from shipping stress. This usually takes about two weeks. Also, it is recommended to research your plant to find out the best time of the year to re-pot this particular species in your area/ zone.

We will pack your plant to our best ability in order to provide the safest shipping. We will do our best to protect ceramic pots, but they can break during shipping. It is normal for plants to drop some leaves, flowers and fruit during and after shipping.  
Some plants are photographed with flowers, we cannot guarantee that flowers and fruit will hold during shipping. If leaves drop, new growth should re-sprout in a few weeks if the plant is kept in an appropriate condition.

Most of our plants are tropical and ideally should be grown outdoors in tropical climates or in a greenhouse. However, it is possible to grow any plant indoors if the appropriate conditions are provided. Research growing plants indoors and see what you can do to help improve your indoor growing conditions.

Our refund policy is for DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING ONLY.  If your trees arrived damaged, please notify us within 7 days so we can issue a refund or replacement.

SHIPPING:
**ATTENTION BIDDERS** 
Arizona: Due to Agricultural regulations we can only ship plants in 6-inch pot (or smaller) to Arizona. We CANNOT ship trees in pots larger than genuine 6-inch pots.
California: Florida Agricultural regulations do NOT allow us to ship junipers to California. We are a certified nursery.
We DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY.
A SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED FOR ORDERS EXCEEDING $500.

Trees will be packed and shipped preferably via FedEx.
We get excellent rates with this service and the rates don't show up on eBay.
They have a great tracking service, and we are also able to insure packages if necessary.

Ground is not recommended to be used in winter as plants are shipped by truck from Florida to you and there is no insulation to protect the live trees from cold weather.

If you prefer to use another shipping method like UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail let us know at the time of checkout. Please know SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED FOR ORDERS EXCEEDING $500.

WINTER SHIPPING:
**SHIPPING TROPICALS IN THE WINTER to areas that are cold is RISKY. If you live in an area where temperatures are BELOW 35F SHIPPING WILL BE AT YOUR OWN RISK**
We do not guarantee plants shipped to locations where the temps are below 35F as this can damage or even kill tropical trees. Before placing your bid make sure you are comfortable with shipping a tropical tree at YOUR OWN RISK. We will add a HEAT PACK for FREE and this will help with safe shipping. Also, the package should not sit outside in the cold.  Make sure the shipping address is to a location where someone can receive it. 

*SHIPPING FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE*
Shipping price is the actual fee FedEx/USPS/UPS bills us plus the cost of packing materials.
We do not mark up the price of shipping, therefore if you are not satisfied with your tree we can refund the value of your item but we cannot refund the shipping fee.
However if you experience longer than usual transit times or major shipping damage we can file a claim with the shipping carrier and you can be refunded in full once the claim is approved.
