Vintage beautiful black 1947 Smith Corona Sterling Portable typewriter. Serial number 4A 287297 in excellent cosmetic and good operational condition with a nice black textured enamel finish with double tuxedo stripes. Beautiful black key board and chrome rings in excellent condition. Very few blemishes on typewriter. Photos are good to judge. Graphics and chrome are very good. The keys strike and return and carriage advances well as you type. The original platen, paper feed, feet, back space, margin release, tab are in good working condition and the ribbon feed and bell work well. The hard case, with handle and latch is in good condition, but shows signs of wear. (As I was packing the case, the back hinges became disconnected from the case. This requires a simple fix. The case's key is missing.

The typewriter measures 12.5” x 12” x 5”

The case measures 13.5” x 13.5” x 6 ” 

This was bought new and stored carefully in my parents' clean home for years.
