Rich, considered, and alive with movement — this rug is built around a deep teal-blue ground that gives every other colour in the composition something to push against. Paired thrushes face each other across the full width of the field, their plumage rendered in warm harvest gold and soft cream, spotted with fine detail that catches the light differently as you move around the room. A central pair of large open sunflowers anchors the mid-field, their ivory petals and dark centres forming the still point around which everything else turns. Above, two more birds flank a tulip form at the top of the composition; below, a final pair dip toward a cluster of ripe fruit, completing the symmetry with quiet grace.
The foliage that fills every remaining inch of the field moves between sage, olive, and grey-green, the tonal variation preventing any sense of flatness. Strawberries and small coral blooms punctuate the botanical mass with warmth, their terracotta tones a perfect foil to the cool teal ground.
