Up for sale is a Yamaha A-960 stereo amplifier. The unit is serviced and the following repairs have been done:

- Replaced the light bulbs and modified the circuit to keep the amplifier operating when the light bulbs are out.

- Replaced the electrolytic capacitors using Nippon chemicon and Nichicon Muse non polar audio grade caps.

- Replaced the four power supply capacitors using Nippon chemicon caps and increased the value from 7500uF to 10000uF.

- Cleaned the switches and potentiometers with deoxit

- Repaired the problematic bass/treble/balance potentiometers (it's a common issue).

- Cleaned and polished the unit.

All the functions are operating as they should be. The power is rated at 100W RMS per channel at 8 ohm.  Externally the amplifier is in very condition (see the attached pictures). This is a 120V model, S/N 111951. The old parts are included.

I moved  recently in US from Greece, where I was working in Greek Nakamichi service during 90's and I have all the necessary professional equipment (original test tapes, oscilloscope, Nakamichi T-100 physical unit, CR-7 test unit, 1000ZXL/700ZXL test unit, Revox B-215 bias calibration unit).
