Product Overview
Our EPS Transition Panels are designed to provide a quick, tidy and professional method of routing flow and return pipes between your manifold location and the main underfloor heating installation.
Manufactured from the same high-density 400kPa EPS used in our foil-faced overlay panels, these transition boards are supplied without an aluminium foil layer and feature 16 precision-routed channels for 16mm underfloor heating pipe.
Supplied as a convenient box of 12 panels, they are lightweight, easy to trim and suitable for both domestic and commercial underfloor heating installations.
Why Are These Panels Not Foil Faced?
A common question we receive is why our transition panels do not include an aluminium foil layer.
During product development we tested foil-faced transition panels with pipe centres at approximately 50mm. Due to the pipes being positioned so closely together, the foil created an unnecessary concentration of heat across the transition area.
We therefore chose to manufacture these panels using the same premium 400kPa EPS material, but without the foil layer, giving excellent performance while avoiding excessive heat build-up in this section of the installation.

Suggested Installation
- Install onto a clean, level and stable subfloor.
- Can be fixed using a suitable solvent-free spray adhesive.
- A 500ml spray adhesive typically covers approximately 2–3 panels onto concrete.
- The same 500ml can will typically cover 3–5 panels onto timber substrates.
- Press 16mm pipe firmly into the routed channels.
- Complete the remainder of the overlay installation as normal.

These transition panels are intended for routing the main flow and return pipe runs between the manifold and the primary underfloor heating installation.
They are manufactured from the same premium EPS400 insulation as our foil overlay panels but intentionally do not include an aluminium foil layer due to the close pipe spacing used within transition routes.
